University Sport Ethics in Greece

The University of Antwerp (Belgium) is involved in the organization of a lot of international Sports- and Art-related events. All of these events are organized in cooperation with the PCU Committee (the university platform of Panathlon International, Fair Play organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee). The main objective is to offer students a platform where sport is considered as a valuable instrument to develop international interaction and experience, with emphasis on the International Olympic Committee recognized Panathlon values of Fair Play and International Friendship

We would like to extend a formal invitation to your University/University College to participate in (one of) these events, listed below.

PCU Games

  • 11-13 November 2020
  • The PCU Games are a yearly tournament in Basketball, Futsal and Volleyball, normally organized in April in Antwerp (Belgium). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 PCU Games (on venue) - already postponed from April to October 2020 - were cancelled, but an online alternative has been provided: the PCUGAMES@HOME.

The event includes this year:

  • The PCU Fair Play Initiative survey. We hope you could take 2 minutes time to fill in this small survey about Fair Play on behalf of your University or University College. It has only a few short questions and would help us out greatly.
  • The awarding of the Enrico Prandi Fair Play Trophy - this year awarded for a Fair Play project or initiative at a University or University College to bring Fair Play to the attention of students. Candidates can register their project through our website.
  • The PCU Esports Games. An Esports Tournament on Thursday 12 November (game: FIFA21). Info and registrations on our website.
  • Virtual Challenges, with a Futsal, Basketball & Volleyball challenge. In all challenges the official PCU Games Champions 2020 will be crowned. The Challenges are posted on our website, as well as on the PCU Committee's Facebook and Instagram pages.

PCU International University Tennis Tournament (PIUTT)

  • 20-22 November 2020
  • The PIUTT is a yearly Tennis tournament, normally organized in October in Moscow (Russia). This year - due to Covid-19 - the event was first postponed and then cancelled and changed to an online alternative: the  PIUTT@HOME

The event includes:

  • The PIUTT Fair Play Initiative survey (analogous to the survey mentioned above)
  • Virtual Tennis Challenges. Analogous to the PCU Games Challenges mentioned above, three Tennis Challenges on the website. In all these challenges official PIUTT Champions 2020 will be crowned. The Challenges are posted on our website, as well as on the PCU Committee's Facebook and Instagram pages.

PCU Bridge Trophy

  • 28-29 November 2020
  • The PCU Bridge Trophy is a yearly Contract Bridge tournament, normally held in Antwerp (Belgium) in April. This year - due to Covid-19 - the event was first postponed and then changed to an online competition (BRIDGE@HOME). More information can be found on our website

PCU Chess Cup

  • 4-6 December 2020
  • The PCU Chess Cup is a yearly (rapid) Chess tournament, normally held in Antwerp (Belgium) in December. Due to Covid-19 the tournament will be held completely online. More information can be found on our website.

PCU Drawing Contest

  • Deadline: 31 December 2020
  • The theme of this Art Contest for students worldwide is "Fair Play in (University) Sports". The 3 best artists receive a financial reward and the 15 best drawings are exhibited during a number of international expositions in 2021. PCU Photo Contest

  • Deadline: 31 December 2020
  • The theme of this Art Contest for photographers worldwide is "Fair Play in (University) Sports". The 3 best photos receive a financial reward and are exhibited during a number of international expositions in 2021. More information can be found on the website of the Photo Contest.
