The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) announces the implementation of a program aimed at the funding of student teams’ participation in international competitions for the academic year 2025–2026 held abroad, with the objective of showcasing the best team or individual participant in the relevant scientific field.
Applications will be submitted by the Secretariats of Greek Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) during the period from 1/9/2025 to 15/10/2025. The goal is to support student teams intending to participate in international competitions during the academic year 2025–2026, confirming that these teams will officially represent their Department in the respective competition.
In their applications, universities must provide information about the teams and their academic supervisors, as well as the competitions they intend to participate in. The evaluation and selection criteria used by the IKY Board of Directors are described in detail in Article 1, paragraph 4 of the relevant Joint Ministerial Decision.
Under the framework of this program, each selected student team member participating in an international competition abroad will receive a lump-sum grant of €500, with a maximum total amount of €5,000.00 per team (for teams consisting of more than ten members).
