The Laboratory of Recreation and Sports Tourism aims to serve educational, consulting, and research needs in the fields of Sports Tourism, Ecotourism, Workplace Sports, Therapeutic Recreation, Management, Organization and Administration of Recreational Sports, and Exercise for All in various exercise environments.

Specifically, the Laboratory:

  • Studies Recreational Sports and Tourism programs, the role and management of leisure time in modern society, as well as how new forms of exercise influence the study and organization of recreation businesses in the field.
  • Conducts research related to understanding the consumer of exercise, recreation, and sports services, as well as the actions an organization/entity must undertake to enhance the satisfaction and loyalty of its existing or potential customers/participants.
  • Covers fundamental educational needs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Designs and implements recreation and leisure programs for all.
  • Provides consulting services and collaborates with public and private sports organizations and institutions, as well as with educational institutions.
  • Works with environmental organizations.
  • Organizes seminars, lectures, and other scientific events.
  • Collaborates and exchanges ideas and knowledge with various scientific bodies and other academic institutions.
