1. Students are required at the beginning of each semester to electronically submit their enrollment and course declaration for the subjects they will attend and be examined on. Specifically, course declarations take place from September 15 to September 30 for the winter semester and from February 1 to February 15 for the spring semester. For first-year students, the course declaration starts the day after the completion of their registration, with a deadline of 15 days.
2. The structure of the Undergraduate Study Program (USP) is designed to include educational activities corresponding to sixty (60) ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) per academic year, 30 per semester.
3. The maximum number of ECTS credits corresponding to the courses of the semester that a student can declare does not exceed thirty (30) ECTS. In addition to the courses of the semester, the student also declares courses (compulsory or elective), laboratory courses, etc., from previous semesters in which they wish to be examined, provided they have not successfully completed them.
4. Newly admitted students submit their course declarations after registering in the Department and within the deadlines set each time. A student cannot take an exam in a course for which they have not submitted a registration declaration within the corresponding registration/course declaration periods.
5. The registration and course declaration processes are carried out electronically by students through the DUTH information system (https://students.duth.gr). Both registration and course declaration are necessary actions for students to activate their status and continue their studies at the institution.
6. Late submission of a course declaration is not accepted. Students who have not submitted a course declaration are not allowed to participate in the exams of the respective semester for those courses. If they do participate, their performance is not graded, and if graded, any passing grade they may receive is not considered and is not recorded in any examination period. In exceptional cases (e.g., prolonged illness), the Department Assembly may decide on these matters at its discretion.
7. Course declaration grants students the right to:
- Attend lectures, laboratory courses, tutorials, etc., of the semester.
- Receive course notes and textbooks for the semester (up to the limit defined by the USP).
- Participate in examinations: a) for the courses of the current semester (spring or winter), b) for courses declared in previous semesters in which the student wishes to be examined if not successfully completed (spring or winter), and c) in the September resit examinations.
