The Department of Science of Physical Education and Sports (D.P.E.S.S.) of the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh), as a body of knowledge and education, ensures the continuous provision of academic information to its graduates.
In this direction, bearing in mind that knowledge is never exhausted as lifelong learning is an immense need of every graduate for continuous professional development, D.P.E.S.S. of DUTh has created an annual electronic publication that includes all the academic actions that are implemented every year in the Department, in order to provide its graduates with information and information about the subject of their studies over time.
The annual electronic edition activates, reinforces and strengthens the connection of the Department with the dynamics that its graduates have developed in the professional areas where they are active and work and the ultimate goal is to maintain the academic and social relationship developed during their studies at D.P.E.S.S. of DUTh.
Believing that through this annual electronic communication will be given the opportunity and the possibility to develop further cooperation actions that will bring the graduates of the Department closer to the University, uninterrupted interaction between the institutions and natural persons is expected and this action could be considered the step and point of meeting and communication between the graduates. For this reason and every year, within the framework of the International Conference of Physical Education and Sports, the meeting of graduates is also organized, after twenty years of their graduation, in order to maintain their communication with the Department.
Hoping that the new portals of communication that are opened, both through the annual electronic publication and through the live meeting of alumni of past years, will give a new perspective to the academic relationship of the Department with the alumni and will evolve into a fruitful and meaningful communication and collaboration over time.
