Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)

A Blended Intensive Programme mobility is announced within the framework of Erasmus+, organized by the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences of the University of Jyväskylä (Finland). Primarily, the mobility concerns 5 students of the Master’s Programme “Sports Tourism, Event Management, Dance”.

For the participating students, the activity is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.

The activity consists of 1 day of online educational activities and 9 days of physical presence at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, where the participating students attend in-person the scheduled educational activities. The programme is titled: RESS2170 Responsibilities in Winter Sport Management (4 ECTS credits) & LPE0596 Winter Sports (1 ECTS credit) and the mobility to the University of Jyväskylä is scheduled for January 12–20, 2026. The Erasmus programme covers a grant for 7 days and a travel allowance. Upon successful completion of the activity, the participating students will receive 5 ECTS.

The eligibility and evaluation criteria are as follows:

  1. They must be active postgraduate students of the Master’s Programme “Sports Tourism, Event Management, Dance”.
  2. English language proficiency certificate (minimum requirement B2)

Student ranking will be based on:

  1. Grade point average up to the date of application (as shown in the official transcript issued upon request by the department’s secretariat) ×10 points
  2. If they belong to the Sports Tourism specialization, which is closely related to the BIP’s central theme “sport management”, they will receive an additional +5 points.
  3. In the case of a tie, the higher grade in the course “Basic Principles of Management” will be considered, followed by the course “Management of Sports Tourism Enterprises”, and finally, the course “Strategic Approach to Innovation in Sports Tourism”.

Applications must be submitted electronically from September 22, 2025, to September 28, 2025 by 15:00 to the email of the programme coordinator Georgia Yfantidou (gifantid@phyed.duth.gr) along with the following documents:

  1. Signed application in pdf format
  2. English language certificate (jpg or pdf)
  3. Detailed transcript or grade report from the students platform (in one file).
